Questions from venue owners

A few questions.
Straight answers.

Adding something to your venue should make sense for your guests and your team. Here’s what to know before hosting a charging station.

01

Costs & value

What’s involved, and what’s in it for your venue.

“No cost to the venue” sounds too good to be true. What’s the catch?

Under our standard host arrangement, AtlantiCharge supplies and installs the station without charging the venue a hosting fee. The service is funded by guests paying to rent portable batteries.

We’ll confirm the placement, access, power requirements and commercial terms with you before installation, so you know what’s involved.

We already have outlets. Why would we need a station?

An outlet helps if a guest has a charger and is happy to stay beside it. A portable battery lets them keep their phone with them while they shop, watch an event or spend time with friends.

It also gives guests another option besides asking your staff to charge a phone behind the counter.

Can we pay for the station instead of using the usual host model?

Yes. A monthly venue rental lets your venue cover more of the cost and offer lower guest charging costs. We’ll discuss the guest pricing, station and setup for your location, then confirm the terms before you decide. Compare the two hosting options.

02

Your team & space

A useful amenity that fits the way you operate.

Our staff are already busy. Will this create more work?

Guests rent batteries themselves through the station’s QR code. Your staff don’t need to take payments, hand out batteries or keep track of customers’ phones.

AtlantiCharge handles installation, remote monitoring, servicing and customer support. Your team can simply point guests to the station or to us for rental help.

We don’t have room for another machine.

There are countertop and freestanding formats. We’ll look at the space with you and suggest a location where the station is easy to spot without getting in the way of guests or staff.

A photo of the area is a useful starting point. We’ll confirm the proposed unit’s dimensions before installation.

What about electricity and internet access?

The station needs a suitable power outlet. We’ll check connectivity and setup requirements for the proposed unit before installing it, including whether anything is needed from your venue.

Ask us for the model’s power requirements if you’re assessing electricity use. We’ll confirm those details for the actual unit.

What happens if a station stops working?

We monitor stations remotely and handle servicing. If your team notices an issue, contact AtlantiCharge with the station location and what you’re seeing. We’ll investigate and arrange the appropriate next step.

Your staff aren’t expected to troubleshoot the equipment or manage rental disputes. The timing of any on-site visit will depend on the issue and location.

03

Your guests

How charging works during a real visit.

Our guests rarely ask for chargers. Will anyone use it?

Not every venue will generate the same demand. A station is more likely to be useful where people stay a while and depend on their phones for photos, tickets, messages or getting home.

Visibility and placement matter too. We’ll discuss your venue’s traffic and typical visits, then use actual rental data to assess how the station performs.

Will guests be annoyed that they have to pay to charge?

Charging is an optional service. Guests can review the rental price and terms before choosing whether to rent a battery.

You can continue offering any charging options you already provide. If subsidising guest charging is a priority, ask us about a venue-paid arrangement.

Do guests leave their phones with us, and is renting complicated?

Guests keep their phones with them. They scan the station’s QR code and follow the rental instructions, then take a portable battery while it charges their phone.

The station provides instructions, and rental support is available through ChargerGoGo or AtlantiCharge. Your staff don’t need to hold phones or process rentals.

What if someone takes a battery and doesn’t bring it back?

Battery rentals are tracked through ChargerGoGo, with return terms and any applicable charges shown to the customer during the rental process.

AtlantiCharge handles customer enquiries about rentals. Your staff aren’t asked to chase guests for returns or collect rental charges.

04

Getting started

Work out the fit before making a decision.

What if we try it and it doesn’t work for our venue?

We’ll review the usage with you and consider whether placement, visibility or the station format could be improved. Low usage is a reason to reassess the setup and whether it makes sense at that location.

Any trial period, review date, commitment and removal arrangements should be agreed before installation. Ask Doug to walk you through those terms.

We already have a charging service. Is there any reason to change?

It depends on what’s working and what could be better. We’re happy to discuss your current setup, station placement, guest experience and support needs, then explain what AtlantiCharge could offer.

Any existing agreement or exclusivity terms would need to be considered before making a change.

Can we have a station just for an event?

Yes, temporary event placements can be discussed. Send us your dates, location and expected attendance so we can check availability and recommend a setup.

We’ll confirm placement, access, installation and collection arrangements, and any event-specific pricing before you commit.

How is AtlantiCharge connected to the ChargerGoGo network?

AtlantiCharge is a locally owned Nova Scotia business and part of the ChargerGoGo network. We install and service stations locally, while guests use the ChargerGoGo system to rent and return portable batteries.

Guests can return a battery at another compatible ChargerGoGo station with an available return slot. Check venue opening hours and access when planning a return.

What’s the first step, and do I have to commit to a station?

Start with a conversation. Email your venue name, location and a little about your guests. A photo of a possible station location helps too.

We can discuss fit and arrange a look at the space before you decide. Asking for information doesn’t commit you to hosting a station.
